In Nantes, outgoing mayor Johanna Rolland won the first round of municipal elections on Sunday. She is ahead of Laurence Garnier and Julie Laernoes.

In Nantes, the municipal elections are a woman's business ... and the preserve of the Socialist Party since 1989 Sunday, at the end of the first round, Johanna Rolland (PS) came in first with 31.36% of the votes, coming to confirm that the city, former stronghold of Jean-Marc Ayrault, could well remain in the lap of his party. She was ahead of her competitor LR Laurence Garnier, who won 19.93% of the vote and Julie Laernoes (19.58%). Behind them, the LREM candidate Valérie Oppelt collects only 13% of the votes, a real disappointment for the majority.
