“Unlike a number of other countries that have evacuated their troops from Iraq or relocated them to some neighboring countries due to the current situation, Czech officials remain in this country,” RIA Novosti quotes the representative of the country's general staff Magdalena Dvořakova.

She noted that 13 Czech military personnel from the chemical defense unit and 24 military police instructors are in Iraq to train local colleagues. They temporarily interrupted their activities and remain in the barracks.

Earlier it was reported that Poland intends to leave its military in Iraq.
