“In this sad incident in the north of Tamaulipas, a family of US citizens suffered, a child died, three family members were hospitalized,” RIA Novosti quotes Mexican Minister of Public Security Alfonso Duraso.
The car, in which a family with two children was traveling, was heading towards the United States after a vacation in San Luis Potosi in central Mexico, an armed group demanded to stop the car near the border, the driver refused to do so, and then fire was opened.
Earlier it was reported that as a result of an attack on gas stations in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, six people were killed, five more were injured.
