Last night, the Kiev regime made another attempt to attack the Belgorod region, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
“Tonight, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation using the RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system was stopped. Duty air defense systems destroyed 15 rockets over the Belgorod region,” the statement says.
The mayor of Belgorod, Valentin Demidov, in turn, emphasized that as a result of the shelling from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, none of the local residents were injured. At the same time, damage to glazing was recorded in 17 multi-storey buildings, an educational institution and a sports complex. Shrapnel also damaged 12 cars in the yards.
“As a result of the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces this night, the residential area of Belgorod was again under fire. None of the residents were injured - this is the main thing!.. All operational services are on site. Belgorubstroubstroystvo specialists are closing the heating circuit in houses. The authorities record the damage and draw up starting acts,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, added that in the village of Dubovoye, Belgorod region, after repelling an air attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces with air defense means, the roof of one private household was cut, while in the village of Repnoye, one car was cut by shrapnel.
“The night turned out to be restless. But, thank God, there were no casualties or injuries. The Belgorod Arena and the 22nd gymnasium were damaged. Glazing - more than 30 apartments were left without windows. Passenger vehicles were damaged. In the morning, we will summarize the damage and begin, as always, restoration,” stated the head of the region.

The day before, in the Belgorod region, an aircraft-type drone attacked an infrastructure facility in the Yakovlevsky urban district, and in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Shebekinsky urban district, a civilian was injured in a UAV attack and was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury and shrapnel wounds to the face and upper limbs.
On March 27, two people were injured in the region as a result of air attacks and shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Moreover, in Belgorod alone, damage was caused to more than 180 apartments, 12 socially significant facilities and 65 cars.
On the night of March 26, air defense systems destroyed 13 RM-70 Vampire missiles over the region. On the morning of the same day, two Grad MLRS shells were destroyed in the air in the Belgorod region.
In particular, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, drew attention to the systematic shelling of the region.
“Ukrainian neo-Nazis do not stop shelling Russian cities. On March 20-24, as a result of attacks on populated areas in the Belgorod region, five people were killed and 33 people, including one child, were injured,” she said during a briefing on March 27.
According to her, representatives of the Kyiv regime of all stripes are proud of the shelling of cities and villages in the Belgorod region, DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and acts of nuclear terrorism against the Zaporozhye and Kursk nuclear power plants. They are also asking Western curators for even more money to carry out such actions.
Along with this, the head of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, spoke about the goals pursued by the Armed Forces of Ukraine by striking at the Belgorod region. He noted that the Ukrainian counteroffensive failed and the Russian Armed Forces are “pushing back” the terrorist formations further so that they do not fire at Donbass.
“What is happening now with the Belgorod province? The main blow, so to speak, is aimed there, to raise the population’s dissatisfaction with what is happening on the border, in the border areas,” explained Bortnikov.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now striving to “prove their worth” by carrying out sabotage and terrorist attacks in the rear: “It doesn’t work on the line of combat contact, which means it needs to be on the territory of our country.”
