“On the basis of information previously received from American partners, the Federal Security Service of Russia on December 27 detained two Russian citizens who intended to commit terrorist acts in crowded places in St. Petersburg during the New Year holidays,” the security service said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his American counterpart Donald Trump, during which he thanked him for the information provided by the special services about the terrorist attacks being prepared in Russia.
