On the morning of March 31, three armed individuals who were planning terrorist crimes were detained in the Republic of Dagestan. This was reported by the information center of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee.

At night, a legal regime of a counter-terrorist operation was introduced in the Leninsky and Sovetsky districts of Makhachkala and Kaspiysk after information was received about the whereabouts of armed individuals involved in terrorist activities. They were blocked by FSB special forces in several apartments in residential areas of two Dagestan cities.

“In the morning in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk, security authorities detained three bandits who were planning to commit terrorist crimes,” the report says.

When inspecting the places where the attackers were detained, automatic weapons, ammunition and a ready-to-use improvised explosive device were discovered.

According to the NAC, there were no casualties among the civilian population and no losses among law enforcement personnel.

Let us remind you that on March 22 there was a terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. The crime was committed by four natives of Tajikistan: Dalerjon Mirzoev, Rachabalizoda Saidakrami Murodali, Fariduni Shamsidin and Muhammadsobir Fayzov.

They managed to escape from Crocus after they started shooting and a fire in the building. They were detained in the Bryansk region when they were heading by car towards the Russian-Ukrainian border to arrive in Kyiv, where they were supposed to receive a reward.

During interrogations, it was established that the terrorists’ actions via voice messages via Telegram were coordinated by a man under a pseudonym. There is confirmed evidence that the accused received significant amounts of cash and cryptocurrency from Ukraine.

In addition, five more people were arrested, allegedly involved in the criminal group: Alisher Kasimov, Nazrimad Lutfulloi, brothers Aminchon and Dilovar Islomov, as well as their father Isroil.

The victims of the terrorist attack were 144 people, the Investigative Committee was able to identify 134 of the dead. 551 casualties were also recorded.

Counter terrorism

On March 30, in the Stavropol Territory, security forces detained three immigrants from Central Asia who were planning to carry out a terrorist attack in one of the places of mass gathering of people in the region. A criminal case has been initiated under the articles “Preparation for a crime and attempted crime” and “Terrorist act”.

On March 29, a local resident and a citizen of Ukraine were detained in the LPR, who were collecting information about the locations of units of the Russian Armed Forces and about other various objects on the territory of the republic, after which they transferred this data to representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the SBU.

One of the detainees also admitted that he was involved in attacks on an enterprise in Lugansk with Storm Shadow missiles in May 2023. A criminal case has been opened against him under the article “Espionage”.

On March 28, in the Kherson region, security forces detained a resident of Alyoshek on suspicion of preparing terrorist attacks, the target of which was representatives of the authorities and security forces. The attacker was recruited by an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in August 2022.

On March 27, employees of the regional branches of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia detained six people who are members of the banned extremist organization Allya-Ayat*. They were recruiting new people.

* “Allya-Ayat” is an organization recognized as extremist by decision of the Supreme Court of Russia dated December 6, 2019.
