The video of a young man receiving in extremis a girl fallen from the second floor of a building in Istanbul has become viral on social networks, Internet users hailing a gesture "heroic". The little girl came out unscathed from the incident.

The events took place last Thursday in a popular district of Fatih district, on the European side of Istanbul, but the images were published this week by the Turkish news agency Dogan. Walking in the street, Faouzi Zabaat, a 17-year-old Algerian, notes Doha Mohammed, a two-year-old Syrian girl, playing unattended at the window of an apartment. We see on the video the young man report the situation to passersby, then stand under the window as a precaution. After a few seconds, the child falls into the void, but is received by his guardian angel before it crashes against the ground.

The images, recorded by a CCTV camera, have spread on social networks like a flash of fire. But the one that the Turkish media has described as "heroes" remains modest. "I was walking in the street when I saw a little girl at the window, she fell down and, thank God, I caught her before she touched the ground," he said modestly. DHA.
