The General Administration of Customs announced today (March 7) that in the first two months of this year, the total value of my country's foreign trade imports and exports was 6.18 trillion yuan, of which the export scale hit a record high in the same period, and foreign trade achieved a stable start.
According to customs statistics, in the first two months of this year, the total value of my country's foreign trade import and export was 6.18 trillion yuan, a slight decrease of 0.8% year-on-year; exports were 3.5 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.9%; imports were 2.68 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%.
In terms of exports, my country's exports to ASEAN, Japan and South Korea in the first two months were 570 billion yuan, 183.56 billion yuan and 165.22 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 17.9%, 6.7% and 10.2% year-on-year.
ASEAN continues to be my country's largest trading partner, accounting for 15.4% of my country's total foreign trade.
In the first two months of this year, my country's imports and exports to countries along the "Belt and Road" reached 2.12 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%.
my country's total import and export to other RCEP member countries was 1.91 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%.
