JR East has announced a specific plan for a redevelopment project to proceed around Oimachi Station in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, and plans to build a building with a height of about 115 meters containing offices.

JR East President Yuji Fukasawa revealed the details of the redevelopment project at a regular press conference held on the 7th.



According to that, two buildings with a height of about 115 meters and 105 meters will be built northwest of Oimachi Station, and offices, hotels, and rental apartments will be built.



In order to improve convenience from the station, a ticket gate directly connected to the building will be newly installed, and a large plaza will be developed, so construction will start next month and is scheduled to open at the end of 2025. is.



JR East is also promoting redevelopment projects around Takanawa Gateway Station on the Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku Line, and is promoting urban development centered on the southern area of ​​Tokyo.



At a press conference, JR East's President Fukasawa said, "I want to create a town that will lead to a more lively Oimachi area and improved mobility."
