“The current gas reserves in the Black Sea cover our needs for the next 30 years,” TASS quoted Donmez as saying at the “Turkish Century in Energy” forum.

He expressed hope that the first phase of Black Sea gas production will begin in March.

At the end of December, the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, said that Russia and Turkey had already begun to work on the implementation of the project to create a gas hub.

Later, Fatih Donmez said that Ankara hopes to start operating the gas hub project in 2023.
