According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, take-offs were temporarily suspended at Gimpo Airport at 1:8 p.m. and at Incheon International Airport at 1:22 p.m., and then canceled at 2:10 p.m.
Take-off was suspended for 1 hour and 2 minutes from Gimpo Airport and 48 minutes from Incheon Airport.
An official from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport explained, "The suspension of aircraft take-off was at the request of the Joint Chiefs of Staff."
As a result, flights departing from Gimpo Airport to Jeju were delayed.
