Last month, the active job openings-to-applicants ratio in September increased to 1.34 on a nationwide average, rising for the ninth consecutive month, due to the spread of moves to secure workers in the accommodation and restaurant industries in anticipation of an increase in tourists.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the ratio of active job openings, which indicates the number of job openings for each person seeking work, was 1.34 on average nationwide in September.

It was 0.02 points higher than the previous month and rose for the ninth straight month.

construction industry decreased by 0.8%. It became negative for the first time in 10 months.

Looking at the active job openings-to-applicants ratio by prefecture by employment area, the

highest was

▽ Fukui Prefecture at 2.12 times,

▽ Shimane Prefecture at 1.87 times,

▽ Yamaguchi Prefecture at 1.84 times, and the

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said, ``It is expected that the number of tourists will increase in the fall tourist season while recovering from the corona wreck, and it seems that the movement to secure labor has spread in the accommodation and restaurant industries.'' There are voices that earnings are being squeezed by soaring material prices such as wood and fuel costs, and job openings are also negative, so I would like to pay close attention to the impact of future price increases.
