According to the expert, two factors influence oil prices: speculative and fundamental.

“Speculative is short-term, but can lead to quick, sharp and significant price changes,” he said.

Frolov added that the speculative component cannot act for a long time.

“The main fundamental factors are the balance of supply and demand.

The level of demand has now been reduced due to epidemiological restrictions from China, ”the analyst explained.

He also specified that after these "activities are completed, demand will recover at an accelerated pace."

The expert believes that among the speculative factors influencing prices now: "attempts to disperse the story with marginal prices, attempts to disperse the story with Iran."

“Any news that sanctions will be lifted from Iran can lead to price changes.

It is pointless to make forecasts for the coming days.

Any swing in any direction can occur, ”concluded the interlocutor of RT.

Earlier it became known that Moscow and Tashkent agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of energy and on the issue of oil supplies to Uzbekistan.
