Regarding promoting the establishment of a large-package milk powder purchase and storage mechanism, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs stated in its reply that at present, my country's reserve system mainly targets strategic materials such as grain and live pigs that are related to the national economy and people's livelihood.
Although the current domestic fresh milk supply and demand has seasonal and regional imbalances, the overall supply is in short supply, and the necessity and timing of the country's establishment of a milk powder reserve mechanism still needs to be studied in depth.
At present, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is working with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance and other relevant departments to further study and improve dairy-related policies. It is planned
to encourage the development of cheese processing and support dairy farmers to develop dairy products. Seasonal and regional imbalances
in the supply and demand of fresh milk have promoted the sustainable and healthy development of the domestic dairy industry.
