"Dubai Electricity" breaks its world record in the "maintenance period of gas turbines" and "water desalination units"

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced breaking its world record in the maintenance period (Major Inspection Outage) recorded in 2019, as the authority succeeded in completing the maintenance of the main inspection operations within only nine working days, compared to the previous number of the authority (11 working days), which constitutes Reducing the maintenance period by 18%, compared to the previous number registered in the name of the authority, and by 84%, compared to the situation in 2006.

This achievement resulted in the availability of gas turbines reaching 99.51% and 99.83% for E-Class and F-Class gas turbines, respectively, in the summer.

These percentages are among the best in the world.

The authority also maintained its world record in completing the maintenance of desalination units within only 10 working days, compared to 21 days previously, and the availability increased by 21 days for each major inspection of gas turbines, of the F-Class category, which contributed to achieving financial savings. At a value of 3.55 million dirhams per transaction.
