Recently, "R-CELLS", a zero-carbon solar energy house designed and manufactured by Tianjin University United Team, will be unveiled in the China International Solar Decathlon Competition, which will be held in early August.

The "R-CELLS" hut draws on the characteristics of traditional Chinese architecture "anti-yuxiangyang", through photovoltaic power generation and small wind turbines, etc., the building's energy production can be four times higher than the predicted energy.

In addition, the main materials have carbon sink capacity and use-phase power generation benefits, which can achieve the goal of zero carbon emissions in the building life cycle.

This competition will bring together universities from all over the world, and each team will start a competition in building technology from the aspects of architectural design, innovation ability, and energy performance of home life.
