Musician, songwriter and DJ, Giorgio Moroder is best known to the general public for his contribution to disco music in the 70s. At the origin of the planetary hit "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer, the Italian is also a lover of beautiful cars.

In the 80s, he took part in the Cizetta project led by Claudio Zampoli, a Lamborghini alumnus.

Having had for mission to reorganize the network of the mark in the United States, the latter took it into his head to create his own supercar.

Friend of Moroder, he manages to convince the latter to participate financially in his project which promises to be under the best auspices, since the designer Marcello Gandini, father of the Countach among others, is also in the game.

The particularity of this car is to embed a V16 engine of 6 liters of displacement, developing 540 hp and 715 Nm. Unfortunately, the project is too ambitious and Moroder decides to withdraw its balls in 1990.

Only 8 vehicles will be built until 1993 before the company's activities cease.

Moroder was given chassis number 001, a prototype he owned until 2018. Completely restored, this car will be auctioned by RM Auctions on January 27 in Arizona.

Thanks to its rarity and its unique history, this Cizetta-Moroder is likely to unleash passions!
