Orders for delivery food have increased significantly due to the impact of COVID-19, but it has been confirmed that the so-called 'gap-jil' of apartment complexes against delivery workers is still there.

In a high-rise residential and commercial complex in Seocho-gu, Seoul, delivery motorcycles are parked outside the apartment complex and deliverymen are walking in.

Deliverymen can't even ride a regular elevator, they have to use only one freight elevator.

If a motorcycle enters the complex, a contact accident may occur, and due to the risk of infection with COVID-19, the apartment will have to take the freight elevator, the apartment said.

But the deliverymen insisted that the same thing was happening before the spread of COVID-19.

The deliverymen, who could not stand this abuse, even lodged a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission, but the Commission did not investigate and dismissed them, saying they could not intervene because it was a conflict between individuals.
