The annual container throughput of Tianjin Port exceeded 20 million TEUs for the first time

  Tianjin, December 18th (Reporter Jin Bo) On the 18th, the annual container throughput of Tianjin Port exceeded 20 million TEUs for the first time as the container of COSCO SHIPPING’s "Tianshenghe" vessel was hoisted on board.

This marks the leapfrog development of Tianjin Port's container industry and the continuous enhancement of its ability to serve national strategies and regional economic development.

  Tianjin Port has deepened strategic cooperation with domestic port and shipping companies, initiated a domestic trade container port and shipping service alliance, created a "two ports and one shipping" boutique route, coordinated the entire process to improve circulation efficiency, and better serve the North-South cycle; comprehensively expand global trade Channels, 10 new domestic and foreign trade routes were opened this year, with more than 800 ports in more than 200 countries and regions around the world, and the throughput of ports along the “Belt and Road” accounted for more than 60%.

  In addition, Tianjin Port served the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and the volume of branch lines in the Bohai Rim increased by more than 25% year-on-year; the dense inland hinterland logistics network has been deployed in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the "Three North" area with 120 franchised stores. More than 40 sea-rail combined transportation channels and 3 land bridge transportation channels in Manzhouli, Erenhot, and Alashankou (Khorgos) have been opened. This year, sea-rail combined transportation operations and China-Mongolia cross-border train traffic have increased by more than 20% year-on-year.
