In 1998, the container throughput of Tianjin Port exceeded 1 million TEUs; in 2006, the container throughput exceeded 5 million TEUs; in 2010, it leaped to the 10 million TEU level in one fell swoop and became one of the world's largest container ports.

  Since the beginning of this year, Tianjin Port has created the “Two Ports and One Shipping” boutique routes, upgraded the “Sea Express-FAST” brand, and coordinated the whole process to improve circulation efficiency. At the same time, 10 new domestic and foreign trade routes were opened, and the total number of container routes reached 133. It has trade relations with more than 800 ports in more than 200 countries and regions around the world, and the throughput of ports along the “Belt and Road” accounted for more than 60%.

  According to Chu Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Tianjin Port Group, since the beginning of this year, the throughput of Tianjin Port's African routes has increased by nearly 10%, and the throughput of Southeast Asian routes has increased by more than 7%. The operating efficiency of the "Belt and Road" route has increased by more than 15%.

  The port continues to improve port operation efficiency, builds a Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei port smart logistics collaboration platform, promotes the electronicization of container documents, and the proportion of non-water port collections reaches 100%; continues to upgrade the e-commerce service platform, and online orders account for the proportion Over 95%.

  Chu Bin said that in the next step, Tianjin Port will strive to expand the “Belt and Road” foreign trade trunk line, continue to upgrade the north-south shipping channel, and provide fine-tuned “daily shifts” services for the internal branch lines in the Bohai Rim, improve port carrying capacity, and improve port operation efficiency.
