For three million families, this Tuesday is synonymous with payment of the Back-to-School Allowance (ARS).

The terms and amount of this allowance vary according to the family's resources and the child's age.

Europe 1 explains the different things to know about this device.

DECRYPTION

The moment is eagerly awaited by families with modest incomes: it is from this Tuesday that the payment of the Back-to-School Allowance will start.

Three million families are affected by this device, which aims to help low-income families pay for their children's school and sports supplies.

Who is concerned ?

What must be done to benefit from it?

How much is the allowance?

Here are some answers to the ARS 2021.

For families with children between 6 and 15 years old, it's simple, there is nothing to do.

Family composition, level of resources ... the family allowance funds have all the necessary information and the amount will be paid automatically by bank transfer.

A document to send to CAF

It is different if you have teenagers between the ages of 16 and 18.

There, you must have confirmed online on the CAF website by going to your account that they will still be enrolled, students or apprentices at the start of the September school year.

It's the same if you have a child under 6 who is a little ahead of the curve and who will be entering CP this year.

You must collect a school certificate from your school, then send it to CAF.
