  According to statistics, in 2019, China's industrial robot market sold a total of 144,000 industrial robots, a year-on-year decrease of 8.6%, and the decline was 7.7 percentage points deeper than in 2018.

Among them, sales of foreign-branded robots were approximately 99,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 12.2%; sales of self-owned brand industrial robots were nearly 45,000 units, a slight increase of 0.8% year-on-year.

Compared with 2018, although the sales growth rate of self-owned brand industrial robots has slowed down, it still maintains growth; the sales volume of foreign brand industrial robots has continued to decline and the decline has deepened.

Self-owned brand industrial robots accounted for 30.9% of the total market sales, an increase of 2.9% over the previous year.

From the perspective of application industries, electrical and electronic equipment and equipment manufacturing has become the primary application industry in the Chinese market for the fourth consecutive year. In 2019, sales exceeded 42,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 8.9%, accounting for 29.4% of the total sales in the Chinese market; the automobile manufacturing industry is still In a very important application industry, 33,000 robots were purchased in 2019, and sales continued to decline by 17.1% on the basis of the previous year, and the proportion of total sales in the Chinese market fell to 22.9%.

  Song Xiaogang believes that from the perspective of the structure of domestic and foreign investment, the market share of independent brand industrial robots in major industries in 2019 has shown an overall upward trend, but the proportion of the first two application industries has declined, and the proportion of electrical and electronic equipment and equipment manufacturing is 26.1 %, the proportion of the automobile industry was 12.9%, a decrease of 4 and 1 percentage point from the previous year.

In 2019, the application industry of self-owned brand industrial robots continued to expand, involving 45 industry categories and 135 industry categories in the national economy, releasing more market demand.
