Korea Credit Data compared the card sales of over 550,000 self-employed people nationwide with the same period last year.

In the third week of February, when the 31st patient, the first confirmer of Shincheonji in Daegu, came out, sales decreased by an average of 10%, and the sales dropped sharply to -29% the following week.

In March, the decline continued to fall by more than 20%, and this month, the decline started to decline a bit, recovering to -12% last week.

Shall we see by region?

In the fourth week of February, Daegu and Gyeongbuk sales declined by 40%, the largest drop in the country, surpassing 40%.

In Ulsan, the number of confirmed patients is relatively small, with 40 people, but the sales decline was the largest after Daegu and Gyeongbuk.

Manufacturers and suppliers such as shipbuilding and automobiles are concentrated, and it seems that the effect of factory shutdown or reduction in work load is markedly reflected.

Jeju is still seeing no signs of recovery as sales fell more than 20% in April.

The number of new confirmed patients is decreasing nationwide, but it seems that this has not yet led to an increase in domestic and foreign travel demand.

Honam and Incheon, where the number of diagnoses was relatively small, showed sales declines of around 10% in March and April.
