A former employee of the major automobile manufacturer Honda was arrested for using a corporate credit card for personal purposes and causing the company approximately 23 million yen in damage. The Metropolitan Police Department estimates that the computer was used for personal purposes approximately 5,000 times, and that the total damage was estimated at 70 million yen.

The suspect arrested was Shun Kojima (33), who worked at Honda Motor Co., Ltd.'s Supply Chain Purchasing Department.



According to the Metropolitan Police Department, he is suspected of breach of trust for using a corporate credit card for personal purposes approximately 2,000 times between 2019 and 2019, causing approximately 23 million yen in damage to the company.



An internal investigation revealed misconduct, and he was fired in April of last year.



According to the investigation so far, the suspect was in charge of managing credit cards for corporate contracts at the time, and abused his position to "tip money" and pay money to Internet live streamers in the form of tips. It is believed that he was using it for personal travel.



The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the circumstances, estimating that the suspect used the device for personal purposes approximately 5,000 times, and that the total damage amounted to 70 million yen.
