Today (3rd), the 9th day of the mine burial accident in Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, the drilling operation to check the survival signals of two isolated workers was successful, and the search through the endoscope started, but it was found that there was no survival reaction for more than 2 hours.

According to the Gyeongbuk Provincial Fire Department, a 76mm-diameter driller (No. 3 Hole) among the drilling rigs put in to check the survival signals of the two isolated workers around 5 am on the same day checked an empty space at a depth of 170 m underground, the target point, and started at around 7:13 am. You are exploring the inside of the tunnel with an endoscopic device.

After that, at around 9:30 am, when there was no response to survival at 170m underground, the drilling machine changed the height of 168m, 167m, etc.

Rescue authorities are monitoring the reaction by repeating "If you see a light, scream" and "If there is no voice or strength, please hit the floor or wall with a stone" through the voice device attached to the endoscope camera.

At around 7 am that day, another 76 mm diameter drilling machine (hole No. 4) also successfully drilled and is in the process of checking the inside of the tunnel.

Rescue authorities plan to drill a hole with a drilling machine at the expected rescue point for the isolated captain A (62) and assistant worker B (56), and provide drinking water and medical supplies if they are found alive.

They were isolated in a vertical shaft 190 meters underground in an accident that occurred around 6 pm on the 26th of last month.

Rescue authorities are accelerating the rescue operation yesterday, confirming that the tunnel section, which was originally expected to be closed, is open.

The number of rigs has also been increased from two to nine.

In addition, primary acoustic detection was attempted to confirm the survival signals of the buried workers, but to no avail.
