<Anchor> The

temporary screening test center, which disappeared as the number of patients increased, is reopening.

There are not many inspection stations yet, so the waiting line is getting longer.

The medical staff who suffered from the cold last winter are now fighting Corona again in heavy clothes under the scorching sun.

The scene was covered by reporter Park Ye-rin.

Seoul Station's temporary screening test center reopened after 25 days.

There was a line waiting in the sweltering heat.

The number of people visiting the inspection station was about 300 a day, almost double the number at the end of last month, before the resurgence.

The waiting line is getting longer as the number of inspectors is crowded, and medical staff and citizens have to fight the heat of over 30 degrees every day.

Although a large fan and a portable air conditioner were installed, the temperature inside the tent still exceeded 38 degrees.

Even during the examination, the portable fan cannot be removed from the hand.

[COVID-19 tester: (in the tent) I had a fan turned on, but it was hot because only a hot wind came.]

The medical staff who wears a protective suit that covers the body, a KF94 mask, latex gloves, and even a face shield are struggling every day.

The heat does not go away even if you stand in front of the portable air conditioner because there is no wind.

I put it on myself to see how hot it is.

It's been about 10 minutes since I wore the same clothes as the medical staff, and my body temperature measured with a thermal imaging camera is over 40 degrees.

In fact, even though I was just standing still without doing anything, my hands were sweaty and my head was full of heat, making me dizzy.

The foreheads of the medical staff who took off the face covering were soaked with sweat, and even the mask was soaked with sweat.

A bigger concern is the number of confirmed cases increasing day by day.

[Lee Pil-soo / Medical staff at Temporary Screening

Clinic in Gangseo-gu, Seoul: It is hot and hot, but now that the holiday season is approaching, when many people visit, I am worried because it means that there are a lot of infections.]

It was planned to increase to 70 nationwide, but only 19 are currently in operation.

It is necessary to rapidly expand screening centers to keep pace with the increasing number of patients and to reinforce the measures taken by medical staff for heat-related diseases.
