A man in his 20s who dragged and raped a girl he first saw in a large downtown store in broad daylight into the bathroom was sentenced to probation.

The Daejeon District Court sentenced 28-year-old A, who was charged with violating the Law on the Protection of Children and Youth, to 3 years in prison and 4 years of probation.

A sexually assaulted two teenage girls at a large store in Sejong City last summer, and then dragged another teenage girl who was shopping around the store to the men's bathroom and sexually assaulted them.

At that time, the victim resisted, but could not leave the scene, and it is known that a part of the crime was recorded on the CCTV of the store.

At the trial, Mr. A admitted all the charges and submitted a statement of reflection 75 times.

The court said, "The responsibility for the crime committed against the victim shopping in a public place in broad daylight is very heavy," but "Mr. He explained the reason for the sentencing, considering the victim's plea for mercy.

Prosecutors immediately appealed, saying the sentence was exceptionally low.
