A fine was sentenced to a veterinarian who put organic dogs alive into the freezer and killed them.

Judge Cho Chun-soon, the third detective of the Cheongju District Court, announced today (29th) that a fine of 3 million was sentenced to veterinarian A (46) accused of violating the Animal Protection Act.

In the ruling, Judge Ko explained, "The defendant's crimes that caused the animal to die in a cruel way are so guilty that punishment is necessary."

Mr. A said, "I put it in a freezer for treatment purposes to bring down the body temperature of an organic dog with heatstroke."

Mr. A was put on trial on August 2, 2018, when he served as the head of a companion animal protection center in Cheongju, on charges of placing an abandoned dog in a freezer and leaving him dead.

Abandoned dogs left in a freezer (corporate storage room) at a temperature of minus 4 degrees were found by a protection center worker who went to work at 9 am the next day.

Animal protection groups have accused Mr. A of the police.
