According to the expert, no two situations are the same and there is no universal advice that would help avoid tragic cases.

"Dogs come in different sizes, different degrees of aggressiveness, different motivations, there are different numbers of them, and, accordingly, humans also have different capabilities, both physical and psychological. If you know that there may be such dogs on your route, then it is better to change the route. This is especially true for parents, who must choose the safest route for their children to get to school or around the city," the RT interlocutor said.

He added that the problem associated with stray dogs should be solved, first of all, by the administration of the settlement or district.

At the same time, the dog handler said that if a meeting with a stray pack did take place, then it is necessary to behave as confidently as possible.

"You shouldn't run away, because it will immediately provoke the dogs to aggression. You need to move away calmly. If there is a wall of the house, snuggle up against it so that you are protected as much as possible. If there is a bag or backpack, close it so that the dog clings to it and fights with the backpack and not with your arm or leg. If possible, of course, call for help. If you have pepper spray, then this will be an added plus, but not a guarantee that you will be able to protect yourself. You need to behave as confidently as possible. It's very difficult, but it will be a plus. You can try to imitate picking up a rock and trying to throw it. That is, you should behave like a predator, not like prey," Malinowski concluded.

Earlier it became known that a pack of stray dogs killed a man in Khabarovsk.
