Sweden leads 2-0 after the first qualifying match against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

First up was Mikael Ymer, who won 2-0 in the set, but had an unexpectedly tough time against 394-ranked Mirza Basic.

The players were followed to a score of 4-4 in the first set, but then things loosened up a bit for the 60-ranked Swede.

Mikael Ymer broke Basic's serve and won the first set 6-4 to the cheers of the home crowd in the Royal Tennis Hall.

- I think he's very relieved now Mikael, it's not one of his best sets, but he can handle it anyway, says expert Magnus Gustafsson.

"Puts a lot of pressure on myself"

At the beginning of the second set, Mikael Ymer looked more relaxed, offering both stop balls and serve aces, but Basic, who had a good service game, came back to tie 5-5 before Ymer could finally hit the winner (7-5).

- I am very happy that I managed to keep it together, that I found a solution.

But I wished I picked up one more level.

I put a lot of pressure on myself when I play at home in Sweden, especially in my hometown of Stockholm, says Mikael Ymer.

In the second match of the evening, Elias Ymer (ranked 120) faced Bosnia-Herzegovina's on paper best player Damir Dzumhur (ranked 197).

That meeting also ended with a Swedish victory in two straight sets (6-1, 6-4).

On Saturday, the qualifying matches continue, which you can follow on SVT2/Play from 1 p.m. First up are Filip Bergevi and André Göransson in doubles.
