Valverde succeeded in giving the royal club the lead in the 80th minute when he received a ball on a plate at the edge of the area from the Brazilian Vinicius Junior, after a great individual effort for the latter on the right side.

Substitute Asensio reassured the fans of the Royal Club with a powerful left-footed shot from inside the area after a side free kick for the other alternative, Kroos (90 + 1).
