Wembley Stadium in London will host the Champions League final on June 1 (Reuters)

Today, Friday, the draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Champions League was held at the headquarters of the European Football Association (UEFA) in the Swiss city of Nyon.

The draw for the quarter-finals drawn by Nigerian John Obi Mikel, the retired English star of Chelsea, resulted in the following matches:

  • Arsenal, England x Bayern Munich, Germany.

  • Atletico Madrid of Spain x Borussia Dortmund of Germany.

  • Real Madrid of Spain x Manchester City of England.

  • Paris Saint-Germain of France x Barcelona of Spain.

Date of the quarter-final matches

The first leg of the quarter-finals will be held on the ninth and tenth of next April at the stadiums of Arsenal, Atletico, Real Madrid and Saint-Germain, while the return round will take place a week later at the stadiums of Bayern, Dortmund, Manchester City and Barcelona.

Semi-final draw

As for the semi-final draw, the winner of the Atletico and Dortmund match was pitted against the winner of the Saint-Germain and Barcelona match, while the winner of Arsenal and Bayern played the winner of the Real Madrid and Manchester City match.

Date of the semi-final matches

The first leg of the semi-final will be held on April 30 and May 1, with the return round being held a week later as well.

The ancient Wembley Stadium in the British capital, London, will host the final match of the continental championship on the first of next June.
