The Swedish long-distance runners Hanna Lindholm and Carolina Wikström looked for a long time to go towards good placements in Eugene's World Cup marathon, despite the fact that they were a bit careless in connection with the first drinking break and got rid of their bottles.

Towards the end, however, the forces got quite tired.

Especially for Wikström who for a while was fighting for a place among the top 15 but ended up in 25th place, a place behind Lindholm.

After the finish, Wikström collapsed and was taken directly to the medical tent where she remained for half an hour before she could leave it at a slow pace, wrapped in a blanket, together with national team leader Lorenzo Nesi.

SVT Sport does not yet have any information on how she is.

Lindholm was pleased with his efforts.

- I am very happy with my placement, even though I might have hoped for a slightly better time, she says to SVT Sport.

Ethiopian Gotytom Gebreslase won ahead of Kenya's Judith Jeptum Korir.

Israel's Lonah Chemtai Salpeter finished third.
