The balance of the UAE delegation participating in the 11th edition of the World Games in Birmingham, USA, with the participation of 3,600 athletes from 100 countries from all over the world in 36 sports, rose to eight colored medals in the 28th place, with two gold, one silver and five bronze medals.

Germany topped the general standings with 47 colored medals, 24 gold, seven silver, and 16 bronze, while the United States came in second with 44 medals, 16 gold, 18 silver, and 10 bronze, and Ukraine came third with 45 medals. With 16 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze medals.

The UAE advanced 10 places in the cumulative table of the World Games in the 56th place out of 102 countries, after it ranked 66th at the end of the tenth edition of the Games in 2017, while Italy retained the cumulative ranking of the Games and the total medals with 488 medals.

The national muay thai team added two new medals on the final day of the tournament by Elias Habib, after defeating his Mexican counterpart Miguel Padilla in the under 81 kg, achieving the bronze medal, while the American Aaron Ortiz won the gold medal, and Portugal’s Diogo Calado won the silver medal. Noureddin Samir defeated American Joe Muller in the Muay Thai competition in the under 63.5 kg competition and won the bronze medal, while the Ukrainian Igor Lyubchenko won the gold medal and the Thai Warasak Tharakhagad won the silver.The Jiu-Jitsu team won five colorful medals, two gold medals, won by Faisal Al Ketbi, in the 85 kg weight and the open weight, and the silver medal won by our national team player, Muhammad Al-Suwaidi, at the weight of 69 kg, and two bronze medals by Shamma Al-Kalbani, in the 63 kg weight and the open weight, in addition to the bronze medal. Which came through the national team player for free skydiving and water skiing, Abdul Bari Al Qubaisi.
