Several in the Swedish cross-country and biathlon elite are in Bruksvallarna for a final competition during the weekend in both cross-country and biathlon.

Today it was time for a sprint competition in biathlon that began with four semifinals with two skiers in each.

Öberg against Karlsson in the semis

In one of the semifinals, biathlete Hanna Öberg faced cross-country skier Frida Karlsson.

The organizer tells SVT that the yard is about 420 meters and that it was three yards and two shooters that mattered.

According to the organizer, Karlsson shot 1 + 1 in the semis while Öberg shot two booms in horizontal and full in vertical.

With a faster ride, Karlsson snapped the biathlete on the nose.

Öberg then made it to the final anyway as the winner of the B-final - and got revenge.

Against the winner Johanna Skottheim and the little sister and runner-up Elvira Öberg, who both shot full, there was nothing to do and Hanna Öberg finished third with two booms.

Frida Karlsson finished fifth and last after a full six booms (3 + 3).

Mother Mia Karlsson tells SVT Sport that this is the first time her daughter competes in biathlon.

- A few people miss out on the others, but it's not so strange perhaps.

She is probably very frustrated that she needed to go a little more penalty rounds than the others, I think for sure, says Mia Karlsson who has not talked to her daughter yet.

- But I know that they were very tagged on driving, she continues.

The competition was conducted with a laser rifle and the dots on the horizontal and vertical shooting were the same size.
