The German mixed relay won the next gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing on Thursday.

The team with the individual Olympic champions Natalie Geisenberger and Johannes Ludwig as well as the gold medal winners Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt also left the competition behind in the relay competition and thus won the sixth gold medal for Germany at the Winter Games and the fourth for the German lugers.

The team from Austria finished second ahead of the third-placed Latvians.
