Isabelle Haak and her Turkish club Vakifbank Istanbul can now call themselves the world's best club team.
Just like when the teams met this spring in the Champions League final, five tough sets were played.
Then the world champion club Imoco Volley Conegliano from Italy won - that was not the case this time.
Four even sets
VakifBank started strong and took home the first set with 25-15.
But Conegliano replicated and took home the second set 25-22.
The same numbers were in the third set but then to the advantage of the Turkish team.
Conegliano then repeated the same numbers once more and it was 2-2 and a fifth set awaited.
But there VakifBank showed great play and took home the match after 15-7 in the last set.
Hook historically
Isabelle Haak was the one who scored the most points for the team, a total of 28.
But she could not compete with the opposing team's big player Paola Egonu who scored the most points of all - 35 in total.
No Swede has previously won World Cup gold at any level - Isabelle Haak thus becomes historic.
