Alvar Myhlback has loaded up for the championship with Ski Classic. The 17-year-old finished ninth in this weekend's La Diagonela, but now awaits the JVM for Myhlback, who is one of several debutants in the squad.

- It is an exciting mix where some have participated in championships before, as well as active players who are making their debut in championships at international level, says Linda Danvind Malm, junior national team coach, to the Skiing Association.

The team also included Anton Grahn and Elias Danielsson, who at the last JVM took gold and silver in the sprint.

For the U23 WC, which is decided at the same time as the JVM, several World Cup qualified skaters are selected. Including Märta Rosenberg who during the Tour de Ski last year shocked everyone by qualifying as third in one of the sprint races. In addition, both Lisa Ingesson and Emil Danielsson, who were on this year's tour, are selected.

The JVM and the U23 WC will be decided February 5-11 in Planica, Slovenia, and the championships will be broadcast on SVT.
