On November 5th, Beijing Winter Olympic Village was opened to the media.
Beijing Winter Olympic Village includes three functional areas: residential area, operating area, and square area.
The residential area consists of 20 apartment buildings.
From a distance, the apartment buildings in orange and silver are arranged in an orderly manner.
The courtyard design is full of Chinese cultural elements, reflecting the integration of Olympic culture and traditional Beijing culture.
The design of the two large courtyard gardens is inspired by the traditional Chinese ice sports activity picture "Ice Play" during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, and other landscape plants are added to create the artistic conception of Chinese classical gardens.
The residential area apartment is divided into 4 units: 135 square meters, 165 square meters, 190 square meters and 220 square meters.
A model apartment of 190 square meters has 2 bedrooms, 1 meeting room, 1 office, 3 toilets, and 1 living room.
In order to ensure the athlete's sleep, the bed in the bedroom is equipped with a remote control, which can be adjusted to different scenes such as sleeping and sitting positions.
