It was penalty throw after penalty throw in the first period for the home team BC Luleå in the first period.

But it would be difficult for the league four to take advantage of the chances.

Seven of 14 penalty throws went in.

In the first period, it was Jämtland that had the upper hand.

The away team would quickly put pressure on the opponents, and before the second period it was 28-18 to the guests.

The turnaround in the second period

The turning point came in the second period when the Norrbotten team was primarily able to put an end to Jämtland's attacking play.

Luleå's Adam Rönnqvist stepped forward and the three points found the basket.

With two minutes left of the second period, it was the same, 34-34.

But at the half-time break, it had turned to the home team's advantage, which for the first time in the match had the upper hand.

And of course it would continue to be true for Rönnqvist who made a solid effort when eight out of eight three-pointers went in.

- It's nice to pull in a few threes, especially in the first match.

Comfortable win for the home team

Toure Murry showed up when he found Steven Davis who knocked in 65-52 to BC Luleå.

It was a total of 24 points for the American, seven points behind the best Rönnqvist.

The home team would not give up the lead in the first place, in the fourth and final period Luleå could hold off.

And despite the guests keying in, Luleå was able to comfortably take home the first win in the quarter-final series.

The second match in the best of five will be played in Östersunds Sporthall on April 29.
