A surprise: Real Madrid is considering selling Benzema and Ramos to rationalize expenses

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez revealed a resounding surprise about the possibility of selling Sergio Ramos and Frenchman Karim Benzema in the upcoming summer transfer period.

Perez said, according to the Spanish newspaper, Marca, that Real Madrid may sell Benzema and Ramos due to the economic conditions and rationalization of expenditures in the "royal", after the club's revenues have declined significantly in the last period.

He added, "I love Ramos like my two sons, but the renewal of his contract depends on the status of the club. This year our revenues will be reduced by 300 million euros. We may have to sell a player, and the players have to make some sacrifices."
