It was at the beginning of the second period that Leksand's Carter Camper and Färjestad's Sebastian Erixon ended up in a rut and were shown two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct.

After the match, Leksand's Patrik Norén claimed that it was a "corona expulsion".

- The judges came to the booth and told that they had been given strict directives that they must keep their distance and that Carter's (Camper) expulsion was because he did not keep his distance in front of the goal.

To me, it feels like a difficult task to keep your distance when you are held in a neck swing and yes, I do not know if you should really laugh or cry.

How should we be able to play hockey if we are to keep our distance, Norén says to Siljannews.

"Had been deported anyway"

SHL referee Tomas Thorsbrink, however, downplays it all.

He believes that this is a misconception.

- After the blowout, they were doing a rooster fencing and did not stop.

The heading is "unsportsmanlike conduct", and it is exactly the same rule that we have had for several years, he says to Aftonbladet and continues:

- Regardless of the corona or not, it would have been expulsion.

Then I think it's a misconception.

This with corona distance should be handled by the team when it comes to goal celebrations and things like that, and if the judges see that it is not managed, they should point it out.

But there will be no expulsions for any such things.

This is probably just a misconception or a lack of communication.

There are no "corona expulsions".

I have agreed with the judges as well.

"Becoming a parody"

Leksand's coach Björn Hellkvist:

- The judge tells me that he takes it because they do not keep their distance.

They drive forward and pull the Camper and then he goes out because he does not keep corona distance on the ice.

I mean, if we play with corona distance, then it will be a parody, Hellkvist says to Aftonbladet.

Färjestad won the match 3-2 after extra time.
