If there is one player who is delighted to switch from the current Lyon galley to a period of international truce, it is he.

Bruno Guimaraes is indeed enjoying his first call this week with the Brazilian selection.

"For me, the fact of putting on the jersey of the Seleçao for the first time, it's a dream come true," said the 22-year-old player on Monday during a videoconference from the training center located near Rio de Janeiro.

Brazil will face Bolivia on Friday, on the first day of South American qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. "You have to play each qualifying match as if it were already the World Cup," announces the former captain of the Espoirs.

Brazil are always favorites when they enter the pitch.

Bruno Guimaraes took advantage of this press conference to give his assessment of his first months with OL, where he had to adapt "to very hard, very physical football".

“As soon as I arrived, I had to do a lot of bodybuilding, confides Bruno G. Juninho had already told me that it would take a lot of physical work.

He is like a father to me, it is largely thanks to him that I play in this club.

“A transfer that is clearly credited to the Lyon sports director.
