Today, the Swedish Public Health Agency's opinion came on changes to the temporary ban on gatherings of over 50 people. FHM writes that the recommended distance is one meter and the number of allowed participants is recommended to be 500 people.

- The proposal was primarily about arrangements with numbered seats. We basically think it is a good proposal. We suggest that we at least initially raise the limit from 50 to 500. That the audience is spread out so that there is at least one meter between those sitting there, says Anders Tegnell at today's press conference.

Since March 2020, a maximum of 50 people have been allowed to participate in public gatherings and public events. The government has previously proposed that the limit be raised, but still have a ceiling. The Swedish Public Health Agency is now proposing that the limit be raised to 500 people - but it can be raised further.

Damberg: "The government returns with a message"

- Then you follow this up after a month or so and see if there is a possibility to increase the audience further from these 500 to higher levels. This is our response to the memorandum that has come from the Ministry of Social Affairs. Then we will see when and how they take it further.

When it may be relevant to let 500 people into the arenas is now up to the government. Minister of the Interior Mikael Damberg (S) comments on FHM's response in a text message to SVT Sport.

“We welcome FHM's consultation response, which of course weighs very heavily. We are now waiting for the other consultative bodies and the government will return with information ".
