Professional baseball Kiwoom Heroes have recruited infielder Edison Russell from Major League All-Star.

Kiwoom said today (20th) that he signed an all-season player contract with Edison Russell for $53,000 a year.

Russell was a big player named in Auckland for 11 major league draft first rounds in 2012.

After moving to the Chicago Cubs as a trade in July 2014, he made his debut in the Big League the following year.

After his big league debut, he played as an infielder for the Chicago Cubs for five seasons until 2019.

In particular, in the 2016 season, he was selected as the National League All-Star and helped the team win the World Series.

The big league career scores are 0.242, 60 home runs, 256 runs and 253 RBIs in 615 games.

However, in 2018, he was disciplined for stopping 40 business trips due to domestic violence issues.

Kiwoom Kim, manager of Kiwoom Kiwoom said, "After the discussion with the field, we have been able to recruit infielders." I think it will be a great help if you join us. We will spare no effort to adapt to the Korean stage.”

Russell will enter the US after completing all necessary procedures such as medical checks and visa issuance.
