A video circulating on a large scale in Iraq yesterday caused the removal of international players, Dergham Ismail and Alaa Mahawi from the Iraqi soccer team, after a decision by the interim authority in charge of managing the affairs of the Union until the next elections.

The authority said it viewed the video and considered it contrary to the general instructions in Iraq and the measures taken against the spread of the Coruna virus, domestic quarantine commitment, and social separation.

The two players are shown in the video, playing a song that mocks the Corona virus, reduces its risk, and considers those who fear the virus to be "crazy people."

The panel said that the decision to remove the players, was taken after consulting with the Iraqi coach, Slovenian Katanez, to be imposed a fine of about 1700 dollars, and the amount will be invested in supporting Iraqi families affected by the Corona virus.

And the commission called on the players of the Iraqi national team to set an example for people, in order to protect from the spread of the Corona virus, and not to set a bad example that contributes to the worsening of the health situation of the country.
