The Japan Sumo Association has decided to postpone the summer place for the next month by 2 weeks from the beginning and set the next day as the first day on the 24th of next month, and will announce the numbering on the 27th of this month as scheduled.
On the 21st, the public relations manager of the Sumo Association, who responded to the press interview, changed the way young wrestlers in each room received at the Kokugikan in order to prevent infection, regarding the distribution of the numbering table for the summer place. It has been clarified that it will be delivered directly to each room from the print shop to avoid contact with.
Also, the numbering table is usually sold to the general public at the counter of the Kokugikan in Tokyo, but this time it is sold through the homepage of the Sumo Association and delivered by mail.
The Sumo Association will continue to discuss the summer place, which has been postponed for two weeks, as there is a possibility that it may be changed, including holding or discontinuing it with no audience while watching the infection situation.
