PSG qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday evening thanks to their 2-0 victory over Dortmund. In camera, but not entirely without supporters.

Neymar, of course

In the absence of Mbappé, sick and placed in the nation's reserve at kick-off, the Brazilian was particularly expected. It took a little time to get started, brushing the shoulder wound on a dive a little too accentuated, but it was he who turned on the light. Three minutes after a huge opportunity wasted by Cavani - or saved by Burki, if you want to be nice -, Neymar opened the scoring with a diving head (28th), not far from the first of his career. He also set an example by doing his share of the defensive job, efforts that he paid for in the second half. At the start of the action leading to the break, signed Bernat (45th + 1), he took his revenge over the last two seasons.

Cold inside, hot outside

Seeing a match of this importance behind closed doors is heartbreaking when you love sports. The kind of thing that inhibits emotions, whether you're in the field or watching your TV. But the Parisians were still able to count on their supporters, who had promised to push with the means at hand and who largely kept their word. They were some 3000 at the gates of the Park. We heard them scream, sometimes offbeat, on each hot action. Their fireworks lit up the Paris night, and made the atmosphere of a pre-season match in Austrian Tyrol slightly more bearable, which we will have a hard time getting used to.

And now ?

Parisians will finally see the quarters, four years later. Well, normally. It is difficult to rejoice completely, as the immediate future of the competition seems uncertain. We would like to be able to say that it was only a bad moment to pass and that on the road to the last square, the Parisians will be able to count on a Park again full and boiling. It's not really the trend. UEFA will do everything to continue the competition, but what conditions? Difficult to know what will happen in three days, then in three weeks ... The European body has before it a nice puzzle. But at least, the PSG has offered the right to stamp with impatience while waiting to know the rest of the events.
