A boom in the shooting range became a boom too much for Hanna Öberg in Thursday's sprint. She shot fully in the standing gunner, but did not have the day in the tracks to still be part of a pallet spot.

Öberg is second in the overall World Cup and chases leading Dorothea Wierer. The Italian had a heavier day on the dike and with her three beams she was 35 seconds after Öberg in goal. This means that the Swede will approach Wierer in the overall World Cup with six competitions left to go.

Everything was right for Herrmann

Denise Herrmann won the sprint of the evening. The German is the rider who usually goes fastest in the tracks and with ten hits out of ten possible no one in the field was on her.

Tiril Eckhoff, who had a heavy World Cup, started the competition strong and looked to be the one who could threaten the German. But in the standing shooting there were two booms and thus the chance of victory was gone.

Full shooting of little sister Öberg

One who did a good competition was Elvira Öberg. With full shooting she was four seconds ahead of Hanna Öberg from the other shooter. However, she lost track and was six seconds behind her sister in goal.

For Mona Brorsson it was anything but a good day at work. She started with two beams in the lying beam and in the standing beam it became three beams. Linn Persson had a boom in each shooting.
