Tablecloth HK Malmö received a second-round OV Helsingborg HK in the Baltic Hall on Monday evening. The last nine matches between the teams have ended with a win for Malmö. Looking at the team's table position before the match, there was no indication that it would be anything other than a win for Malmö even in tonight's match.

But they had to fight for it.

At halftime it was 11-11 and in the beginning of the second half it was Helsingborg who went up in a two-goal lead. The teams followed each other for a long time, but in the 56th minute the air went out of Helsingborg when Malmö countered 25-23. Shortly thereafter, the match's lyricist Hampus Olsson could also make 26-23 in an empty box.

Involved in most things

Malmö won the match with 28-25, but Olsson was not satisfied afterwards.

- More of a relief that we stand here with two points today. It was badly played, choppy and no elevators, he tells cmore.

Olsson was involved in a total of 18 of the team's 28 goals. He scored 12 goals himself and had 5 assists.

- I got into a wonderful flow. I had to take a lot of responsibility and stepped into the track a lot, it was good, he says.

New serial leader

Tonight's victory against Helsingborg was Malmö's fifth straight victory in the league. They thus pass Alingsås in the table and are new series leaders. In the bottom, Helsingborg remains in 13th place and is still four points ahead of HK Varberg, who is last.
